There a lot of information online about emergency preparedness and can sometimes be so much information that we do not know what to do, how to start and really what to include. Here's my basic list of emergency preparedness backpack.
ESSENTIAL
1-vessel
must be something portable, easy to carry because you never know how much time or distance has to carry. A good backpack with wheels may be an ideal choice because it can carry or drag.
2-Water Water is essential for survival. We can live days without food, but not without water. The minimum is 1 gallon per person (4 liters)
Different water containers. You can use the bottles of soda (soda) and bottled water, bags or boxes. My preference is in bags or boxes because they last 5 years.
3-Eating
There are many types of food that can be included.
One option is quick soups (Maruchan) that only hot water is added, fruit / canned meat, military meals (MREs), etc., But my preference is calorie food bars (calorie food bars) because they last 5 years .
4-Luz/herramientas/abrigo a flashlight and batteries (batteries). At some point they will need some kind of light and what better than a flashlight.
A heater. It can be a home (can with alcohol / toilet paper will add further instructions on how to do it) or buy one like this:
This heater serves as a heater, or cooking (heat water for soups, hot chocolate, etc.).
A change of clothes. Should be long sleeves, long pants, shoes and jacket or other shelter.
A first aid kit. For more simple it is, do not forget to add this. Also add
matches, rope, personal hygiene items.
5-Documents Important / money
Include a list of important phone numbers (family, emergency numbers)
Copies of life insurance, health insurance, auto insurance, etc.
Cash: small bills ($ 1, $ 5) and coins at least $ 20.
I hope this gives you an idea how to start your backpacks. Suerte!
